School Summary:
Parkwood Primary School presents as a nurturing and inclusive school that
endeavours to meet the emotional needs of its pupils and families. The
relational approaches are evidently embedded across school and means that
staff are well-skilled and attuned to meeting the needs of the pupils and their
families. This ethos transfers across all areas of school and is prevalent
throughout. Pupils, staff and parents/carers all talk positively about the warm,
caring and approachable ethos at Parkwood, and the lengths that the school
goes to meeting the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of all.
We are delighted to confirm that Parkwood Primary School has met the criteria
to be awarded the Silver Award as part of the Healthy Minds Chartermark. It
has been an honour to bear witness to the excellent practice across school.
